Riding and Horsemanship with a difference

Bitless Bridle Equestrian Centre, between Lampeter & Aberystwyth, does what it says on the tin! All horses at the Centre are ridden in Dr Cook Bitless Bridles and treeless saddles, are barefoot & kept as naturally as possible.

We practise and teach Natural Horsemanship with all our horses being extremely calm yet forward-going & responsive, and so ideally suited to take you through the journey of horse / human communication. Whether single sessions or longer courses there will be a package to suit you. You may also bring your own horse to learn with.

At over 1000ft above sea level our Centre enjoys fabulous views and being adjacent to a red kite feeding centre there are many opportunities to see this magnificent bird at close quarters. Our rides, whether a short hack or a full day trek, take in some of the most spectacular countryside in Wales.

As well as hacking, we offer demos and bespoke packages teaching people and horses from complete novice to the more experienced, whilst our non-traditional approach to horses and horsemanship is conducive to horses interacting with people in more of a therapeutic capacity.

There is a well-stocked tack shop on site (with coffee machine) selling the full range of Dr Cook Bitless Bridles as well as other goodies associated with keeping horses naturally!

There is excellent accommodation within walking distance and in surrounding villages or at the nearby picturesque seaside town of Aberaeron (hotel, bed & breakfast, self-catering cottages).

Our Centre, with its holistic approach to all aspects of horsemanship, gives you a rare opportunity to work with 'natural' horses.
